1.3.1 Teachers using green cleaners in classrooms
As Sinclair Lane Elementary School is moving towards a cleaner and healthy school environment we have begun to use more environmentally friendly cleaning products in the classrooms. as part of the efforts of Baltimore City Public School to comply with state-wide requirements that schools use green cleaning products. Custodians are supplied with the cleaning materials to clean the schools, they provide teachers with these products when they are requested.
1.3.1 Teachers 2-sided copying
Here is the new copy center request from where teachers are encouraged to use double sided copying the help reduce paper consumption.
1.3.2 Systemic Partnership
Kevin Macaulay, the Second Grade Team Leader has taken a leadership role at Sinclair Elementary regarding the Green School initiative. Every other Tuesday Mr. Macaulay leads the Green Club, an after school program that is made up of 20 students ranging from grades 2-5 and Brittney Mulka from Irvine Nature Center. Each Green Club member has the opportunity to participate in environmental education lessons that encourage the students to take a leadership role in their school. Because of Mr. Macaulay's dedication and desire to create change, he is participating in the Green Leader Achievement Unit program. There is also a document from Baltimore City Public Schools' central office communicating Sinclair Lane's relationship with the city.

1.3.2 Systemic Partnership
Sinclair Lane and the Baltimore City Department of Public Works are in the process of negotiating a Right of Entry Agreement with City Schools. Under this agreement is has been determined that a large portion of asphalt surrounding the school is slated to be removed. The removal of the blacktop is intended to reduce the amount of polluted water flowing into the storm drains.
