1.2.1 All staff is aware of the Green School Application Process
All staff was made aware of the Green School application process prior to agreeing to work towards applying to become a Green School, also durring the Green Halloween Activity on 10/30/17 staff was reminded of the Green School Application. On January 9, 2017, Wendy Bozel (a former Special Education Teacher)from Sinclair Lane Elementary and Katie Roof from Irvine Nature Center signed a memorandum of understanding. Irvine Nature Center has continued to communicate with several teachers throughout the year by providing nature programming.
1.2.2. At least 10% of the total staff have participated in Environmental Education Professional Development
February 28, 2018, 15 out of the 21 school's teaching staff, a total of 71 percent of the schools total staff, participated in a one hour thirty minute professional development meeting with Rob Mardiney and Brittney Mulka from Irvine Nature Center. Staff learned how to install bird boxes and monitor bird activity. Each teacher received a bird monitoring document to use with their students.
